We're excited to announce the finalists for the susdrain SuDS Champions Awards 2025, celebrating the individuals and teams who are driving innovation, collaboration, and best practice in sustainable drainage.

Rising Star Finalists

Recognising those with five years or fewer working with SuDS, these individuals are already making waves:

• Ajharuddin Khan – Graduate Engineer, AtkinsRéalis

• Munjeti Satyanarayana – Assistant Engineer, AtkinsRéalis

• Tegan Illingworth – Project Manager, Blue Heart (on secondment from Waterman Aspen)

Experienced Professional Finalists

For those with over five years of SuDS experience, these finalists have demonstrated exceptional leadership and innovation:

• Angus Smith – Lead Project Manager, Mansfield Sustainable Flood Resilience Project, Severn Trent

• Dr. Jacqueline Diaz-Nieto – Associate SuDS Engineer, The Environmental Protection Group (EPG)

• Marcus Gayle – Flood Risk Manager, London Borough of Lewisham
