We’re excited to announce that the susdrain SuDS Champions Awards 2025 are officially open! These awards are our way of recognising individuals and teams who are driving good practice in sustainable drainage (SuDS) forward—whether they’re tackling flooding, enhancing biodiversity, or transforming urban spaces.

Do you know someone making a real impact? Nominate a SuDS Champion(s) today! Whether it’s a Rising Star making waves early in their career, an Established Professional shaping the future of SuDS, or an Outstanding Team driving collaboration and innovation - we want to hear about them. We’re particularly keen to highlight achievements from across the UK, including Scotland and Northern Ireland, and from professionals in construction, local authorities, and community-led initiatives.

Nominations are FREE and open now until 11 April. The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on 18 June 2025. Give a SuDS champion the recognition they deserve!

Graham Fairhurst, Chair, susdrain Project Steering Group added “The successful delivery of good quality SuDS schemes absolutely is as much about people (individuals and teams) as it is about the techniques themselves. Especially in the current situation where we do not have mandated processes for delivery, successful SuDS practice and projects are highly dependent on people who not only understand the issues, but who also have vision and passion to seize the opportunities and make SuDS happen. It is a key role of susdrain to recognise these people as ‘Champions’ and I am keen to see who these people will be in 2025.”
