Report on SuDS delivery highlights the difference between ambition and practice
A new report from the Construction Industry Council and the Landscape Institute was based on a survey of Lead Local Flood Authorities (LLFAs) to evaluate the current system, how policy is (or isn’t) contributing to high quality SuDS schemes. The report highlights that a step change is still needed to improve the quality of delivery and it suggests that 96% of local authorities report that the quality of planning submissions for SuDS are either inadequate, or mixed and that only a few of them had formal SuDS policies in place.
